These
trips begin by being flown into the headwaters of a remote stream
system by floatplane, where large 14-18 foot rafts are inflated
for an exciting and scenic journey downstream. Rafts provide
the safest mode of travel on Alaska's streams, and we use the
strongest and best available. An experienced Alaska guide and
a complement of two or three guests, man each raft. You're now
on a journey of virtually nonstop fishing with the ever-present
breathtaking Alaska scenery and wildlife to enjoy between catches.
Stops are made along the way for lunch, fishing at unpassable
holes or just to stretch and look at huge bear tracks, eagles
nests, wildlife, or other interesting sights along the stream
corridor. Each evening is usually spent at a new campsite and
a time for relaxing around a campfire and telling the day's
fish stories. Float trips are great because we can adjust our
travel time downstream and spend more than one night at a certain
location, if the fishing or other sights are particularly interesting
in that area. |

Alaska
float trips are the ultimate in outdoor camping, with tents,
sleeping bags, and outdoor cooking being all naturally essential
parts of the trip. A float trip is an excellent and safe way
to see and enjoy Alaska -- "our last great wilderness." If
you enjoy the outdoors and have a touch of adventure, we'll
help you with the rest.
