The scope of this page.

This page explains the AK Adventures field guide and notebook. AK Adventures is owned by ExecRecon. External operators, destination resources and booking services have their own policies.

The website provides editorial guides, local planning notes and inquiry-draft preparation. It does not create an account, take payments or automatically submit inquiries. We have not installed an advertising or marketing integration, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Cloudflare hosts the site and processes ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect it. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which runs at the hosting level, counts page visits without cookies; it is not controlled by the privacy choices switches. When Analytics is on, this site also uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and how pages are used. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and sends Google the page address without query strings, browser and device details and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. See Google’s privacy policy. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

What the notebook keeps.

The notebook keeps questions you deliberately save, custom questions, your written answers and an optional starting point. It uses browser-local storage when available, on this website.

The same AK notebook is available across the homepage, guides and planning page in this website. It does not sync between devices, browser profiles or different origins. It is not a secure place for sensitive personal information.

You can edit answers, remove a question, clear the notebook or download a text copy. Clearing browser/site data can remove saved notes. A downloaded file remains wherever you save it and is managed separately from the website.

When browser storage is unavailable.

If persistent storage is blocked or unavailable, the shared site runtime uses a same-tab fallback where possible. The interface reports that your work is being kept for the session instead of promising persistence. Some restricted environments may support only the current page.

Download the brief before leaving if you need to retain it. A clear action that cannot update persistent storage does not guarantee an older browser record was removed; the status message explains that it may return when storage becomes available.

Undo-clear is temporary working state for this tab. Closing the tab or clearing its session data may remove that recovery. The motion preference is a local setting and reduced-motion device preferences are respected.

Contact drafts stay on the page.

The contact preparation form holds the fields you type in page memory so you can review, edit and download a draft. It does not save contact fields into the notebook or send them to a server, inbox or notification service. This site does not intentionally save those fields, but the browser may restore form values when you use Back/Forward or browser recovery. Use Clear draft when you are finished.

Reviewing the draft does not send it. The email link passes the reviewed text to your chosen email application; you decide whether to send it. A message you send is handled by your email provider and AK’s Microsoft 365 email service. Include only information needed for your question. Contact AK Adventures through the contact page about a message you sent or to request its deletion. We do not use this form to subscribe you to marketing.

External sites have their own terms.

Links to Travel Alaska, ExecRecon and other external resources leave this website. Those services control their own content, cookies, data handling and availability. Reading a linked page does not establish an AK partnership or booking integration.

This website loads its own code, fonts and AI-generated landscape illustrations from Cloudflare. It does not embed third-party maps, films, tracking pixels or booking widgets. This page will be updated if the website’s services or data handling change.

Your privacy choices.

The small round Privacy choices button at the bottom left of each page, and the Privacy choices link in the footer, open a panel with Necessary (always on), Analytics and Marketing switches and a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information switch. The Analytics switch controls Google Analytics; turning it off stops Google Analytics and removes its cookies. No marketing tools are in use today; the Marketing switch keeps any future ones off. Changes apply immediately and are saved in this browser’s local storage (siteConsent.v1) until you change them or clear site data. Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, which are set only while Analytics is on, the site sets no cookies of its own.

Defaults. For visitors in the United States and other regions without an opt-in requirement, Analytics and Marketing are on until you turn them off. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, or when the region cannot be determined, they are off unless you turn them on. To choose the default, the page asks Cloudflare for your country (from your IP address); only the two-letter country code is used, kept for the browser session and not stored with your choices.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and also turn Analytics and Marketing off while the signal is on.
